The Body Shop Against Animal Cruelty

The Body Shop are #ForeverAgainstAnimalTesting and they are campaigning to ask other cosmetics and beauties companies to help end animal testing too!

The Body Shop were the first global beauty brand to fight against animal testing in cosmetics. Over the last three decades, they have worked with their campaign partner Cruelty Free International and their collective efforts helped lead to a European Union ban in 2013! But that isn’t enough for them. 80% of countries still allow animal testing. Animals continue to be used in testing, and they want to end this practice everywhere and forever.

How can you help?

Sign the petition here (it takes 1 minute) and check that you’re buying cruelty free products next time you shop, but be safe in the knowledge that The Body Shop IS Cruelty Free.

Stratford Shopping Centre transformed into a scrumdiddlyumptious wonderland this Easter weekend and amazing prizes were won!

On Saturday 15th April, a sticky-sweet confection of family fun and enjoyable activities landed on Central Square at Stratford Shopping Centre as the time finally came to enter the FREE chocolate Wonderland!

Shoppers stepped into a world of pure imagination, filled with candy cane hills, giant props and yummy inventions.

Children were encouraged to partake in delicious workshops to craft extra tasty treats to take home. A tasting area was available for children to decorate their very own scrumdiddlyumtious chocolate bar with snap, crackle and pop toppings. Children also grabbed lab coats and a pair of testing goggles in the invention room and mixed together various ingredients to create their very own experiment.

Stratford Shopping Centre announced as a Silver winner in the Zero Waste Scheme

Stratford Shopping Centre was announced as a Silver winner in the Zero Waste Scheme, celebrating the fantastic work that organisations are doing to drive down waste from landfill.

The Zero Waste Awards, organised by the Environment Media Group, aren’t competitive and entrants are judged purely on their merits. Winners are awarded with gold, silver, bronze or highly commended for their efforts to prevent waste at source within their organisations.
